i'm laughing. I just read what "I said". I don't recall mentioning any of that. Let alone sounding that snappy. But hey, it works and we sounded professional and credible.

Get use to it Jason. I can't remember the last time they got a quote from me correct! Often times, I wonder why they bother asking for a comment at all since it seems they "quote from memory" anyway. LOL

It is very seldom that I see a reporter with a recorder... they seem to prefer their little notebook. And in the few times I have been interviewed about something, I noticed they weren't writing much down... certainly not attempting to make sufficient notes to make an accurate "direct quote". Apparently in the 'news' media, "quote" means something different than us mere mortals think. Of course, what do I know... I look at the consititution and see a total of FOUR words devoted to the press... not ONE word of which gives the press special rights beyond what you and I have... but they manage to devine these special rights out of the constitution when they read it. Clearly my intellectual powers pale next to theirs...
